There were 8 complaints closed the month of April alone, and 7 of them went unanswered. There were 2 complaints in March as well that were unanswered. February had 12 complaints closed and only 5 were answered. January they ignored both of the 2 complaints. December they also ignored the 2 complaints. The last time that Acteva answered a complaint was November 2012. That is 2 months of ignored complaints.

The complaints and failure to address the complaints were the reasons for the BBB to revoke their rating.

“On 10/16/2012 this company’s accreditation in BBB was revoked by BBB’s Board of Directors due to failure to respond to one or more customer complaints filed with the BBB and failure to eliminate the underlying cause of complaints on file with the BBB.” And see what the BBB is stating is the reason for the complaints, “Complaints received by BBB concern customer service and contract issues. Complaints processed by BBB claim that 1) payments to clients are either late or have not been received at all.”

Acteva has stopped responding to BBB complaints for 3 months now. They last complaint that Acteva addressed was on June 24th, 2013. There have been 54 unanswered complaints since then. Pankaj Gupta has advised that he is on contact with his clients, yet it remains to be seen. Acteva has had 100 complaints closed in the last 12 months.

  1. It amazes me that so few companies will check the BBB for a business before hiring them to handle amounts in excess of $50,000.00. The information is there. These nonprofits simply need to do a tiny bit of looking and they could save themselves a TON of headache as well as money.

    Instead of Acteva, with a BBB rating of F, they could use Eventbrite, which has a BBB rating of A+.

  2. Sadly, some of these companies had been using Acteva for years prior to their complaint being filed. It does not help when companies partner with Acteva. My friend’s boss wishes they had done the research before hand. I am glad they did not, otherwise we would not have this site and would be unable to assist and make this known. I do hope future non-profits do better research and avoid Acteva at all costs!!!

  3. This many complaints tells you a lot about a company. The fact that they are ignoring the BBB speaks volumes. How does a company get to this point and act like this?

  4. I can not get over how many of the BBB complaints are still being ignored. It must be because Acteva is not paying them. Such a shame for all of those affected by this mess.
