  1. I am the director of a small non-profit organization. We used Acteva in 2011 and again in 2013 for a conference we host. There were no issues in 2011, but this year we are still owed a balance of about $13,000 from the event in February. For our organization, this is a significant amount of money. I have been trying since late February via email and phone to get resolution, and have received virtually no response other than automated replies.

    • Hi, Rebecca. Sorry you’ve had such a bad experience with Acteva. You’re certainly not alone and I want you to know there are a lot of people fighting on your behalf to make sure you’re paid every dollar you’re owed.

      That said, if you’re in need of a reputable and trustworthy online event registration service provider in the future, I encourage you to check out Eventbrite. While it won’t undo the damage done to your organization by Acteva’s unapologetic failure, you can rest assured that you’ll never experience a similar nightmare through Eventbrite.

      • Rebecca, that is one of my friends and she has been working a ton behind the scenes. I can vouch for Eventbrite, they have been very helpful and outgoing. It does seem like Acteva is more focused on attracting new customer instead of servicing the ones that have. Acteva has also been preoccupied with my site the last several weeks.

  2. We used Acteva for about eight years. At the worst, they owed us over 90k. To this day I do not know how we got it back. They never paid all of it, but we got the lion’s share and got the hell out. We are now happy users of regonline, which has wonderful reports, layouts, support, prices and staff. I researched and compared at least ten companies, including eventbrite, cvent, 123meeting, and on and on. RegOnline was right for us because it offered the most options at the most affordable rate. I feel so terrible for all Acteva customers. There’s NO EXCUSE for their dishonest, despicable practices.
